We got a Death by Chocolate & Cream Cheese with Strawberries Quake and they were great! I forgot how creamy and rich that fresh blended ice-cream from a creamery is! I'm usually too hung up on calories and exercise to indulge in these kind of things, but I wasn't feeling to guilty scarfing that goodness down....

When I still lived in Ocean Springs, I only went to Quakes a few times. I should have taken advantage of the awesome ice cream as often as I could. Now I make my husband take me to Quakes to get Death by Chocolate every time we're in town because I've come to realize it is the most fantastic chocolate ice cream I've ever had. He always gets the Brown Noser and it's really good, but I'm a chocolate lover for life. I wish I could live off the food from this place.

First time here & I thought writings on the wall were pretty unique. We tried the turtle custard & the strawberry shortcake & it came to our expectations a pretty good custard! Will try again next time!

Came back two nights in a row! Yellow cake custard was the family favorite. Couple it with a waffle cone! Also tried the chocolate, cotton candy, and banana. All very good! It was a perfect way to end the vacation.

Great place for frozen custard in all forms. My favorite in several stops was the day cheesecake was the days flavor. Had it topped with crushed raspberries. Simple and delicious. The owner is friendly with a sense of humor. Indoor seating area is very casual and has a box of toys for little kids.

On our first visit, I had the turtle quake and my wife had a scoop of vanilla and chocolate custard swirled. The owner of Quakes waited on us, she quickly gave us samples of there yogurt/custard and was very helpful in explaining the entire menu to us. There is a long list of options for toppings and speciality items. Which is good for creating your own custom dessert. They also sell Nathan's hot dogs and the Shed BBQ along with other menu options such as roast beef poboys and hamburgers. The owner also said they have "real" snowballs with shaved ice, and that they boil there syrup. I will have to try one next visit. Overall, I recommend trying Quakes. PS-don't forget to leave your "tag" on the wall during on your visit!

During my time in biloxi I have to say me and my friends must have visited quakes more times than i can count. The custard and various items on the menu are all delicious. The customer service is great and I love the hometown feel, I'm definitely gonna miss Quakes hopefully I can find something that might compare out in Arizona.

I love this place! We tried the cappuccino custard (a daily special) and the cheesecake custard (a regular). Both were creamy and delicious! The cheesecake has bits of cheesecake crumbs which was quite tasty. The staff let us sample a few before ordering which were all very good. Super affordable as well!

The "custard style ice cream" was good. The atmosphere was not. Several times, while sitting inside eating my ice cream, I thought, "this place is so dirty, why am I eating in here?" Just based on the graffiti on the walls, thrift store furniture, dirty seeming toys and other things. I love a good hole in the wall/dive but there was jut something lacking. The custard is good, so I can see why people keep coming back! On a side note, for a place that seems so kid friendly, they have NO highchairs!

Stopped by Quakes after craving some soft serve on the way home from visiting a friend in the hospital. Quakes serves homemade custard and seems quite popular in Ocean Springs. I was actually a little disappointed in my custard, didnt taste quite right, a little thick and the flavor I purchased Strawberry seemed a little off. I believe what I got was a pretty poor representation of a good custrd ice cream, i've actuslly had much better at Bop's.

Frozen custard - Deeeelicious. Before our first visit I did my little research about this place like a proper food geek that I am. Basically after reading some of the reviews here, we went to Quakes expecting great custard but not much else (in regards to atmosphere, service, etc.) We stopped by on a sunny Monday afternoon. I love randomly getting ice cream on a breezy sunny day... there is something so happy about it. Anyways we pulled up to the building which is painted in quirky, bright purple and green colors; hard to miss when you are driving by. The service was great! Since it was our first try, we asked some questions before we ordered. The two guys working there was very nice and helpful. We each got tasty frozen custard in waffle cone to go. They said the custard was just freshly made. Mmm!!! Mine was a vanilla custard with fudge brownie topping. They were extremely generous with topping amount. Custard was rich, silky creamy goodness. It was everything I wanted it to be and some. We will definitely be back to try more flavors!

I love custard style ice cream and quakes is very good! I usually get chocolate with peanut butter! The portions are quite large. I don't like their shakes, though, too malty. I've also gotten the roast beef po-boy and it was decent, but a little tough, however, it's an ice creamery, you should be going there for ice cream! LOL Good stuff, though, check it out!

I was a little confused by the business model for Quakes. You walk in what appears to be a day care center, complete with a rack of toys, doodles on the wall and finger painting, but they serve frozen custard and BBQ, PO-Boys, hamburgers and hot dogs. Since it was my first time and I wanted to try a little of both, I ordered the even more confusing "BBQ Sundae" which was a styrofoam cup layered with potato salad, pork, sauce and beans, kind of like ordering BBQ with a side by all stuffed into a cup. It was an interesting concoction, although I don't think anyone has told the owner how bad serving food in styrofoam is, since it does not compost or break down in landfill. I then ordered a Quake mixed custard blend, which was tasty enough, but not thick, as I would have preferred my custard to be.

The custard is great at this family owned shop. What most don't know is that the roast beef po boy is absolutely sloppy fantastic! Opt for the Shed potato salad on the side and you will leave happy.

Have come from the North where custard's taken pretty seriously. For me, Ted Drew's in St. Louis is a standard to judge by, and Quakes just isn't there. Both the presentation and taste are lacking. Tastes more like regular ice cream. Dirty appearance to the shop with little to no area to eat the food. Although there are not too many other selections in the area for good ice cream, this ones got to be frequented because of lack of any other real competition. Will keep trying others, but won't go back.

Their frozen custard is delicious, and Quakes (their version of a Blizzard) are oh so GOOD! Funky little ice cream stand on Highway 90, with really friendly owners and excellent service. I long for their custard every time I drive by.

I'm no diabetes expert, but the ice cream cake is tasty. I'll be back when it warms up outside.

Excellent custard!!!! Cheeseburgers are all right, but you don't go to an ice cream place for burgers. Steve G
